A

Activated Persons: Two persons who form a CAC and are connected by an activation (inter-aspects of 90 and 180 degrees). See Inter-aspect, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Activation: An inter-aspect formed between two persons by any two planets that is a Clash Aspect. Activations are stressful inter-aspects, although they can initially cause attraction. See Clash Aspect, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Activation Angles: The two angles that form activations, which are 90° and 180°, and if Saturn is one of the two planets, 150°. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Alignment: Aspect.

Apparent Motion: The way that the planets appear to be moving from the perspective of Earth., as opposed to their actual astronomical motion, such as in retrogrades. This is a strictly geocentric phenomenon.

Applying:  A planet which is moving toward an exact aspect. See Exact, Aspect.

Aspect: Two or more planets forming a conjunction, trine, square, quincunx, opposition, parallel, contra-parallel, contra-latitude, Zodiac7one, Zodiac7two, or Zodiac7three pattern within Magi orbs. Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Aspect Integration: Blending and combining all the astrological aspects of a chart to create an integrated whole analysis that takes into account the force of all the aspects working simultaneously and continuously. Synthesis.

AstroGeometry: A Magi software program.

Astrological Chart: Any chart of an exact day, time and location.

Aspect Transformation: The principle that the symbolism and influence of all equal degree aspects are transformed, altered, and modified if the planets that form the aspect are in turn aspected by other planets or midpoints.

B

Babylonian Alignment Chart: An astrological chart that does not include the houses, and is based on a circle divided into 12 equal parts for the 12 signs. Such a chart is designed to allow the user to easily see the alignments of the planets.

Benefic: A positive, helpful planet- Jupiter is known traditionally as the Greater Benefic.

Bi-directional Aspect: Any longitudinal aspect that is comprised of one planet in retrograde, while the other planet is in direct motion. Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Bi-Level Aspect: When the same two planets aspect one another in both the geo longitudes and declinations, or the heliocentric longitudes and latitudes. An example would be if the Sun is contra-parallel Neptune, and at the same time Neptune is quincunx to the Sun. Bi-level aspects are super powerful. Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Bi-Level Enhancement: A bi-level aspect in which both aspects are enhancements, but which is not an eclipse. An example would be if the Sun is both parallel Jupiter, and trine Jupiter. Bi-level enhancements are both powerful and highly favorable. See Eclipse.

Bi-level Clash: A very difficult condition where the same two planets are in clash aspects in both the longitudes and declinations (Geo), or the longitudes and latitudes (Helio). Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Birth Chart: See Natal Chart.

Blackout Cycles or Blackout Transit: See Heartbreak Transit.

Business Chart: The astrological chart of the day someone begins a job or the day a corporation, partnership, or business is founded.

C

CAC: See Combined Alignment Chart.

Calculated Points: These are points in space that are computed, but that contain no actual planet or asteroid. Some examples would be the Ascendant and the Midheaven.

Captive: The Passive Person in a Captivation. See Trapper, Captivation, Clashes and Captivations in Scientific Astrology.

Captivation: Created in a CAC by a linkage from one person's Saturn, Saturn-Chiron midpoint, or Saturn-Jupiter midpoint to the other person's Sun, Moon (if exact birth time is known), Earth, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, or Chiron. Indicates an imbalance of power unless there is Saturn Balance. See Linkage, Captive, Trapper, Saturn Balance, Clashes and Captivations in Scientific Astrology.

Celebrity Examples: People often ask why the Magi Society uses celebrity examples of our principles, explaining that they have no interest in the the lives of the famous. We could easily choose examples from among our families, friends, and clients, but then there would be no way for the public to verify birth data or life stories to corroborate our claims. Obviously, most or at least many celebrities are not totally representative of the average person. However, the birth data and lives of the famous, rightly or wrongly, are in the public domain and their experiences are widely known- therefore clearly illustrating the validity of our principles.

Celestial Equator: The imaginary circle created by projecting the Earth's equator onto the backdrop of the sky.

Central Planetary Geometry: The most powerful piece of Planetary Geometry in a chart.

Chiron: A planetoid that orbits the Sun between Saturn and Uranus which was discovered in 1977. Magi Society research has proven Chiron to have the most profound astrological significance.

Chiron Aspect: An aspect that is formed by Chiron and another planet. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Chiron Clashes, Rule of Excessive: When a couple form too many Chiron Clashes, their relationship will be turbulent and will most likely end in Heartbreak. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Chiron Linkage: A linkage formed by one person’s Chiron to any natal planet of another person. When the other planet is Saturn, however, the linkage is referred to as a Saturn Linkage. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Chiron vs. Juno Rules:
1. Any Chiron Linkage formed between the two persons increases the chances of marriage between two persons, except the Chiron/Juno linkage.
2. Any Juno linkage formed between two persons reduces the chances of marriage between the two persons, except the Chiron/Juno Linkage.
3. The Chiron/Juno linkage neither increases nor decreases the chances of marriage; it does however greatly increase the chances of a long-term intimate relationship between two heterosexual persons (it does not increase the chances of a long-term intimate relationship between same-sex couples).
Cinderella Aspect: A Chiron enhancement to the Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, or Earth. A Chiron enhancement of the Moon is also a Cinderella aspect if the exact birth time is known. Natal Cinderella aspects are seen in the chart of people who have "Cinderella" moments in their romantic lives and/or career- times when they "miraculously" fall into something wonderful. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Magi Astrology.
Cinderella Linkage: A linkage between charts in any dimension from Chiron in one chart to the Sun, Moon (if exact birth time is known), Earth, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto of another chart. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Cinderella Time: See Cinderella Transits. Find out if you are in your Cinderella Time - Get an Instant Personal Love Calendar

Cinderella Transits: Traditional Cinderella Transits are any enhancement transit by Chiron to natal Sun, Moon (if exact birth time is known), Earth, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto. Cinderella transits are also formed by enhancement transits by the Sun, Venus, Jupiter, Neptune or Pluto to natal Chiron. Magi Society research has proven that Cinderella transits are the times when we can meet and marry our soulmate. There are some additional Cinderella Transits which have not yet been released to the pubic. See Enhancement, See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology. Find out if you are in Cinderella Transits - Get an Instant Personal Love Calendar.

Clash: An aspect between the planets of any two charts that is 90° or 180°. Clashes are also formed by contra-parallel, contra-latitude and quincunx aspects, if one of the two planets is Saturn. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Magi Astrology, Clashes and Captivations in Magi Astrology.

Clash Angle: See Clash, Clashes and Captivations in Scientific Astrology.

Classic Schism: One of several inter-aspects that prevent two people from having similar outlooks or mutual destinies. These inter-aspects create enormous tension and friction. See Inter-aspect, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology, Clashes and Captivations in Scientific Astrology.

Combined Alignment Chart: A single Astrochart used for comparison and analysis that combines the planets of two charts and displays all inter-aspects between the charts. Synastry. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Combined Planetary Geometry: (Also called Combined Geometry). The Planetary Geometry that is created by overlaying some or all the planets from one chart on top of some or all of the planets of another chart in a CAC. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Combined Super-Aspects: Super Aspects that are created by linkages between two charts. See Super Aspects.

Combined Symmetry: Symmetrical geometric pattern that is formed by the planets of two charts. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Combined Planetary Symbolism: The meaning of a pattern of two or more planets which combines the meanings of the planets with the meaning of the pattern.

Companionship Chart: The astrological chart of the date, place and time that two people first meet in person.

Complex Planetary Geometry: Planetary Geometry that is formed by more than two planets. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Configuration: A pattern created by three or more planets.

Conjunction: A 0° aspect of two or more planets in the geocentric or heliocentric longitudes. A conjunction is a pure enhancement aspect and is very beneficial. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Conjuncted Trine: A strong and highly beneficial pattern formed by a conjunction of two planets which trine a third planet. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Contra-Latitude: A Contra-Parallel aspect in the heliocentric dimension. See Contra-Parallel. This is considered to be an enhancement aspect unless Saturn is one of the planets, in which case it is a clash. This particular aspect is especially significant since its midpoint is parallel the Earth. This means that in a natal chart, the symbolism of the Contra-Latitude is applicable in the native's relationship to all people on Earth. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Contra-Parallel: An aspect in the geocentric declinations between two planets in the same degree of declinations, but which are on different sides of the celestial equator, i.e. one planet is north, the other is the same degree south. This is considered to be an enhancement aspect unless Saturn is one of the planets, in which case it is a clash. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Controller: AKA the Trapper. The Saturn person in a Captivation. See Captive, Captivation, Clashes and Captivations in Scientific Astrology.

Cumulative Effect: When two aspects in any dimension are comprised of the same two planets, but one or both of the aspects are slightly wider than the Scientific Astrology Orb, then the two aspects together still have more power than either one alone. Similar to but less powerful than true Bi-Level or Trans-dimensional Aspects. See Bi-Level Aspect, Trans-dimensional Aspect, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Cupid Linkage: A linkage formed by one person’s Venus and the other person’s Sun. Can create love at first sight but is not enough to sustain love without Chiron Linkages. See Linkage, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Cycle: See Transit.

D

DQ: Abbreviation for Dek Quad.

Deceiving Linkage: A linkage that is wider than the Scientific Astrology Orb. There can be just enough influence to make it seem like the linkage works, when in fact, the orb is just not tight enough to create the necessary power. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Decimal Format: ScientificAstrology describes planetary degree positions in decimal format rather than the degree and minute format used by traditional astrology. Example: a planet shown at 22.5° in a Scientific Astrology Chart would be the same as a planet shown at 22° 30' in a traditional chart.

Declinational Bias: An astrological phenomenon by which planets always move more slowly through the extreme north and south degrees of declinations, thus increasing the likelihood of creating aspects with each other. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Declinations: The vertical locations of the planets in the geocentric dimension. The declination of a planet is the distance, in degrees, north or south of the Celestial Equator.

Degraded Aspect: Any aspect in which an important Saturn midpoint is in very close aspect with both planets of a two (or more) planet aspect. Degraded Aspects have the ability to be especially toxic and destabilizing. See Aspect, Important Saturn Midpoints, See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Degraded Sexual Aspect: A Degraded Sexual Aspect is any aspect in which an important Saturn midpoint is in very close aspect with both planets of a natal Sexual Aspect. See Aspect, Important Saturn Midpoints, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology, Sex in Scientific Astrology.

Deks: abbreviation for Declinations.

Dek Quad: A Declinational Quad.

Dimension: The 6 dimensions of Scientific Astrology are the Geocentric Longitudes, the Geocentric Declinations, the Heliocentric Longitudes, the Heliocentric Latitudes, + Geocentric and Heliocentric Longitudes in Zodiac7. Research has proven that all 6 dimensions carry equal weight in all types of chart interpretation. See 6 Dimensions of Scientific Astrology.

Distance Orb: Measuring by degrees to an aspect's exactness rather than by time to exact. See Time Orb, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Distance Relationship Chart: The chart of the day and time that two people "met" for the first time via internet or telephone prior to a face-to-face meeting.

Divorce Chart: The astrological chart of the day a divorce is legally recorded. See Relationship Chart.

Double Direct Aspect: An aspect between two planets both of which are both in direct motion. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Double Linkage: This occurs in a CAC when the charts have two linkages made of the same combination of planets in any dimension. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Double Retrograde Aspect: An aspect between two planets in which both planets are in retrograde motion. Enhancement Double Retrograde Aspects are the most beneficial type of enhancements. Turbulent Double Retrograde Aspects are the worst type of turbulent aspects. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Dragons and Dragon Points: Complex Planetary Geometry of 3 or more planets. Dragons start with two planets forming a quincunx aspect. Dragon Points are then located at the 60°, 90°, 120°, and 150° points moving around the long side of the wheel in either direction. When a third planet is found on any of these Dragon Points, a Dragon is formed. One caveat is that the third planet may be within a 1° wider orb than the orb made by of the original quincunx aspect. This actually can allow a slightly wider orb for the third planet than is usual in Magi Astrology.

A Dragon may be formed in a CAC with a natal quincunx in one chart, and with a Dragon Point occupied by a planet from the other person. A transiting Dragon may be formed with a one transiting planet forming a quincunx with a natal planet, and a second transiting planet occupying a Dragon Point.

A dragon can contain a Yod, but can also contain a Mystical Triangle. Romantic Dragons are comprised of Romance planets and Sexual Dragons are comprised of Sexual planets. See Romance Planets, Sexual Planets, Dragonize, Sexual Dragon, Romantic Dragon, See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Dragonize: When an existing natal or transiting aspect is joined by a third planet to create a Dragon.

Dragonized Clash: When Saturn and/or a Saturn midpoint is the third point which creates a Dragon. These are especially severe clashes. If a Heartbreak or Nuclear Clash is part of the Dragon, the severity is exacerbated even further.

Dynamic: When all the planets of a pattern match degrees with each other.

Dynamic Symmetrical Pattern: A symmetrical dynamic pattern.

E

Earth-Moon Complex: Also called Earth. In Magi Astrology the Earth in the heliocentric chart is considered to actually be the Earth-Moon Complex. From the distant perspective of the Sun looking toward the Earth, there is little to no differentiation between the placement of the Earth and the placement of the Moon. In interpretations, the Earth-Moon Complex is very similar to the Sun. However, aspects to the Earth–Moon Complex are more powerful than aspects to the Sun because the Earth-Moon Complex is really two planets combined. Also, due to the lunar influence, the Earth-Moon complex has a slightly more emotional component. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Eclipse: When any two planets are both conjunct in longitude and parallel in declination in the geocentric chart. In helio, an eclipse is formed by a conjunction in longitude and a parallel in latitude. An eclipse is considered to be a major influence in a chart. In traditional astrology this term is known as an occultation, and it is also known as a Planetary Eclipse. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Ecliptic: The apparent path of the Sun in the sky as viewed from Earth.

Electional Astrology:  The use of Astrology to elect/select an auspicious day to begin a new endeavor. Electional Astrology is used to select the best days for new meetings, weddings, business incorporation, product launches, large financial transactions, investments etc… Much research has proven beyond a doubt that the day a new relationship or endeavor is begun has great or even nearly-ultimate influence over the success or failure of the venture. The principles of Electional Astrology have been honed to a fine art in Scientific Astrology. See also Event Chart, Natalization.

Employment Chart: A chart of the first day on a new job. This is a crucial chart for employee satisfaction and success. Scientific Astrologers are often consulted for their Electional services to choose the most favorable date possible to begin a new job.

Engagement Chart: The astrological chart of the day a couple becomes engaged. See Relationship Chart.

Enhancement: A favorable aspect angle. Includes the Conjunction, Trine, and Parallel. The Quincunx, Contra-parallel, and Contra-latitude are also enhancements if the aspect does not include Saturn. See also Pure Enhancement, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Enhancement Aspect: See Enhancement.

Enhancement by Extreme Declination: The increase in the power of a planet seen when it is located at very extreme degrees of declination based on its individual orbit. See also Exdek.

Enhancement Dominance: In favorable Planetary Geometry, the rule of Enhancement Dominance holds that most of the time, Enhancement angles in the Geometry will reverse negative symbolisms of any Clash angle in the same Geometry, making them positive. See Planetary Geometry.

Equal Degree Aspect: Refers to any 30° aspect between two planets.

Event Chart: A chart of the date, place and time something significant is initiated. Event Charts can include charts of wedding dates, incorporation dates, founding dates of countries or currencies, dates when you first meet a new person, book, movie or product launch dates, employment dates, dates of opening bank or brokerage accounts, etc.

Exact: When two or more planets which form an aspect are located in the very same degree and fraction of a degree in the longitudes, declinations or latitudes, they are said to be exact. The more exact an aspect, the more rare and powerful it is. Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Exdek: Short for enhancement by extreme declination. See above.

F

Faithful: People with a natal linkage between any 2 of these planets: Venus, Vesta, or Jupiter. See The Faithful in Love.

Fallout: The residual influence of an unfavorable transit or progression which can exist for a short time after the exact transit or progression has peaked and begun to separate. This often correlates to dealing with the consequences of unwise actions set into motion during the unfavorable transit or progression.

Fibonacci: Classic mathematical sequence of ratios. See Astro Fibonnaci.

Financial Aspect: An aspect formed by two financial planets. See Financial Planets, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Financial Planets: Venus, Chiron, Neptune, Pluto and Juno.

Financial Linkage: A linkage formed between two financial planets in a CAC.

Fluctuating Relationship: Created by inter-aspects between Uranus and Venus or Chiron in a CAC, fluctuating relationships can ebb and flow over time. The Uranus person is usually seen by the Venus or Chiron person as being the person who blows hot and cold as their interest in the relationship waxes and wanes. This phenomenon can be worrisome at times, but can be present even in a strong soulmate relationship- understanding is the key. Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Flying Eagle: A planetary geometric pattern composed of 4 or more planets forming a parallelogram with 2 trines on sides, 1 square at base, 2 quincunxes inside, and a semi-sextile at the top. A rare and powerful pattern containing 2 Mystical Triangles working together. The native or relationship can really soar in the areas indicated by the symbolisms of the planets involved. See Planetary Geometry, Mystical Triangle, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology, Planetary Symbolisms in Scientific Astrology.

Focal Planet: A planet that appears twice or more in the first six Quads (ordered in Sequence) of that day. There can be different Focal Planets in the various dimensions of Scientific Astrology (geocentric longitudes, geocentric declinations, heliocentric longitudes, and heliocentric latitudes). The symbolisms of the Focal Planet(s) help to determine the potential areas success for the native. See Quads, Sequence, See 6 Dimensions of Scientific Astrology, Planetary Symbolisms in Scientific Astrology.

Focus: the most important Planetary Geometry of a birth chart.

Focus Aspect: The most exact aspect in a chart, and often the most important. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Focus Alignment: Three or more planets, all in aspect to one another (planetary geometry or synchronization), possessing the most exact combined distance orb in the chart. The strongest alignments include symmetrical geometry or are planetary synchronizations that include largest number of planets and/or number of enhancement aspects. Often the Focus Aspect is found in the Focus Alignment. The Focus Alignment is the Central Planetary Geometry of the chart and is the most powerful configuration in the chart. See Focus Aspect, Central Planetary Geometry, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Focus Double Transit: This occurs when a person has a transit to a natal planet, and also a transit by the same planet. The common planet in both transits is called the Focus Planet. The symbolisms of this planet are likely to be the focus of the native's life while the two transits are applying. See Focus Planet, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Focus Planet: The common planet in two applying transits in which this planet is the natal planet in one transit and the transiting planet in the other transit. See Focus Double Transit.

Focus Progressed Super Transits: When both planets that form the Focus Aspect of a natal chart receive Progressed Transits by the same progressed planet. Usually the dominant influence while applying. See Progressed Transits, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Focus Transit: Both planets within a natal aspect are transited by the same planet, or two transiting planets which aspect one another are both transiting the same natal planet. Highly powerful transit. See Transit.

Focused Super Transits: When both planets of the Focus Aspect of a natal chart are transited by the same planet. See Focus Aspect.

Fortress: Planetary geometrical pattern composed of a minimum of 4 planets which form any rectangle with two parallel sides. Invincible Fortress A rectangle with 2 parallel sides, with a third side a trine. Mighty Fortress: Fortress with sextiles for 2 sides. See Planetary Geometry.

Fraternal Symbolisms: Planetary symbolisms which are similar in meaning. Planetary Symbolisms in Scientific Astrology.

Free Will Universe: Nothing is fated. The stars may incline us in a direction, but they cannot compel us. The stars cannot dictate the choices we make or the choices anyone else makes. The actions we take are always our choice, whether we realize that or not. We are always allowed Free Will, and we are responsible for the choices we make with it.

Interconnected Quads: Three interconnected aspect pairs of planets formed by a minimum of 6 planets- each pair of planets forms a Quad with each other pair. An extremely powerful form of Planetary Geometry. The most powerful Interconnected Quads occur when 3 pairs of planets share similar aspects, such as 3 conjunctions, 3 parallels, or 3 sextiles. Less powerful IM/Q's occur when 3 pairs of planets are within orb of the same number of degrees apart, but are not in aspect. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology, Quad.

Invincible Fortress: A planetary geometric pattern of 4 or more planets which form a rectangle with 2 parallel sides, with a third side a trine. See Fortress.

Invincible Spearhead: A planetary geometric pattern of 6 or more planets which form a Grand Trine and a Yod, with the apex of the Yod conjunct one point of the Grand Trine. Iron Butterfly: A planetary geometric pattern of 4 or more planets which form a parallelogram with 2 squares on sides, 1 trine at base, 2 quincunxes inside, and a sextile at top. Immovable determination coupled with the agility of a butterfly. See Square, Trine, Quincunx, Sextile.

J

Juno Linkages, Rule of Excessive: Too many Juno Linkages in a couple's CAC can indicate that the pair are not soulmates and that their relationship is built on illusion. See Sex in Scientific Astrology.

Juno Relationships: When Juno inter-aspects outnumber Chiron inter-aspects in a CAC it can indicate that sex is the main focus of the relationship, even though the pair may believe for a time that they are in love. Such relationships seldom last unless there are linkages with Chiron or Neptune.

Juno Sexual Linkage: Linkages formed between Juno a Sexual Planet (Venus, Mars or Pluto) or between Juno and a Romance Planet (Venus, Neptune or Chiron) in a CAC. A Juno Sexual Linkage is perhaps more likely than any other sexual linkage to compel a couple to act on their attraction. Juno Sexual Linkages always burn out if a couple marries. See Sex in Scientific Astrology.

Jupiter-Pluto Aspected Quad: An Aspected Quad where the conjunction or parallel is comprised of Jupiter and Pluto; this is the most powerful Aspected Quad. If the aspect of a Quad is a conjunction of 2 other planets, say Sun and Venus, we could call the Quad a Sun-Venus Aspected Quad.

Jupiter-Pluto Quad: A Quadwhere one of the pairings is Jupiter + Pluto. This is the most powerful pairing, and therefore also forms the most powerful standard Quads.

K

Kite:  A Grand Trine with a fourth planet opposite one corner. Highly beneficial. See Grand Trine, Opposition, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

L

Latitude: The vertical locations of the planets in the heliocentric dimension. The latitude of a planet is the distance, in degrees, north or south of the ecliptic. See Heliocentric.

Law of Symmetrical Enhancement: When 3 or more planets form a symmetrical pattern, then the planets exert a positive influence on one another unless 90 degree angles are formed, such as in a T-Square. See T-Square, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology

Lifetime Linkage: A Chiron-Neptune Linkage in a CAC. See CAC.

Lifetime Sexual Linkage: A Juno-Chiron linkage in a CAC. See CAC, Linkage, Lust Bond, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Linked Persons: Two persons who form a linkage.

Longitudes: The commonly used dimension of astrology- the locations of the planets horizontally around the zodiac wheel.

Longitudinal Synchronization: Planetary synchronization in the geocentric or heliocentric longitudes.

Looped Transit: When a transiting planet makes an exact conjunction with a natal planet in direct motion, goes retrograde and makes exact conjunction again, then resumes direct motion and becomes exact a third time- essentially making a loop around the natal planet. Could also loop the natal planet retrograde, direct, retrograde. The tighter the orb between the natal planet and the outer edge of the loop, the more powerful this transit is.

Love Chart: The astrological chart of the first time two people make love. See Relationship Chart. Get an Instant Love Chart Report for your relationship.

Love Report: Instant Love-Stars Compatibility Reports by Magi Helena - using the proven principles of ScientificAstrology.

Lust Bond: More than one Juno Sexual Linkage between two people in their CAC creates a Lust Bond. Juno Sexual Linkages are formed when one person's Juno links to one of the other person's Sexual Planets (Venus, Mars, Pluto, Juno) or Romance Planets (Venus, Neptune, Chiron). Lust bonds are mutual and not Captivations. See Romance Planets, Sexual Planets,  Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology, Sex in Scientific Astrology.

Lust-Hate Clash: A Mars-Chiron clash in a CAC. This clash creates a high degree of sexual attraction, but also incompatibility and antagonism. See Clash, CAC, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology

M

Magical Angle: Two planets which form a Trine, Conjunction or Parallel. A Quincunx, Contra-Parallel or Contra-Latitude may also be a Magical Angle unless one planet is Saturn.

Magical Linkage: A linkage between Venus and Chiron in a CAC. This linkage can be MAGIC in relationships!

Magical Planetary Geometry: Planetary Geometry (usually symmetrical) primarily made up of enhancement angles, such as: Grand Trine, Conjuncted Trine, Yod, Mystic Triangle, Iron Butterfly, and Flying Eagle. The Yod and Mystic Triangle would not qualify as Magical Planetary Geometry if Saturn is present at the Yod apex or at the Square/Quincunx corner of the Mystic Triangle. Magical Planetary Geometry is a central key to super-success.

Magical Success Principles: 1. Become partners with someone whose natal chart makes magical planetary geometry with your natal chart. 2. Become partners with someone whose natal chart makes golden linkages with your natal chart.

Magical Time: The time period when an aspect is most powerful- 3 days before and after an aspect is exact.

Malefic: Negative, stressful, harmful planets and points, such as Saturn, Saturn midpoints, and Sedna.

Marriage Breaker Aspect: A Saturn-Chiron clash aspect either in a Wedding Chart, or in a CAC between a person and their Wedding Chart. See Wedding Chart.

Match Degrees: Two planets in the same degree of either the same or different signs, or two planets in the same degree which are parallel, contra-parallel, or contra-latitude.

Matching Symbolisms: An important consideration in Planetary Geometry. Planetary Geometry ONLY works the way you want it to when the combined symbolisms of the planets involved are consistent with the energies the chart needs to represent. For example, powerful Planetary Geometry composed of business planets would not necessarily support a romantic relationship, and romantic Planetary Geometry would not necessarily support a business endeavor.

Maximum High Balance: The day on which a has the most High Balance alignments compared to the day before and the day after. Gives extraordinary abilities to the native. Usually used in the analysis of the charts of super-athletes.

Maximum Linkage Locations: Points in a natal chart where another person’s planets would make the most linkages to the natal chart in a CAC.

MDX: Abbreviation for Midpoint Crossing.

Meeting Chart: The astrological chart of two people's first face-to-face meeting. See Relationship Chart. Get an Instant Meeting Chart Report for your relationship.

Mid-degree: The mathematical average point in degrees between any two planets. The Mid-degree point is then considered to exist in each of the 12 signs. This is different from a midpoint- see Midpoint. Used primarily in Maximum High Balance theory.

Midheaven: A calculated point that refers to the highest point in the sky on the exact day, time and place for which a chart is cast.

Midpoint: Two points which are exactly equidistant in degrees between two planets. The Near Midpoint is the midpoint closest to the two planets. The Far Midpoint is the furthest midpoint from the two planets. The near and far midpoints are always opposite one another. The midpoint forming the strongest aspect to another planet is considered most significant.

Midpoint Crossing: A Midpoint Crossing occurs whenever a planet crosses an equal degree angle to the midpoint of any 2 other planets. A Midpoint Crossing refers to an alignment of 3 planets.

Midpoint Equivalence: Every midpoint acts as if it were a planet. All midpoints influence planets and other midpoints under the same rules as planets themselves. All midpoints are influenced by planets and other midpoints under the same rules as planets themselves.

Midpoint Projection: Refers to the two points which are exactly equidistant in degrees between two planets. The Near Midpoint, the midpoint closest to the two planets, "projects" to create the Far Midpoint. The near and far midpoints are always opposite one another. The midpoint forming the strongest aspect to another planet is considered most significant.

Mighty Fortress: A planetary geometric pattern of 4 or more planets which form a fortress with sextiles for 2 sides. See Fortress.

MP-Aspect: Abbreviation for Multiple-Planet Aspect.

Mono-Directional Aspect: An aspect in which both planets are moving in the same direction, whether in retrograde or direct motion. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Magi Astrology.

Multiple Planet Aspect: An alignment of 3 or more planets. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

A natalization occurs at a first meeting, on the date of a business incorporation, a wedding, the opening of bank or brokerage account, the signing of a mortgage or any type of legal agreement, the date a product or artistic release, etc. The chart thus created is the astrological chart of the venture, relationship or entity. Natalizations in Scientific Astrology.

Native: The subject of a Natal Chart.

Non-Cancellation, Principle of: No aspect "cancels out" another aspect in a CAC. All aspects are felt in a relationship. Every interaspect has an influence and no two interaspects ever cancel each other out. Ever! For example, if two persons have both have a Cinderella Linkage and the Nuclear Clash, their relationship will always be influenced by both of these very powerful interaspects. They will be romantically attracted to each other and at the same time have a turbulent relationship. There are no exceptions to this rule in the astrology of intimate relationships. Also know as the Rule of Interaspect Non-Cancellation.

Nuclear Clash: A Saturn-Jupiter clash or a clash from the Saturn-Jupiter midpoint to Sun, Earth, or Jupiter in a CAC. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Nuclear Heartbreak Clash: A clash of the Saturn-Jupiter midpoint to Chiron in a CAC. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

O

Occultation: A traditional astrological term for the eclipse of any two planetary bodies, called a Planetary Eclipse in Scientific Astrology.

Offset: In the interpretation of Clash Aspects, the symbolisms of the planets forming the aspect are reversed, with the focus on the negative symbolisms. This is always true for two-planet Clash Aspects. When a Clash Aspect is part of favorable Planetary Geometry, Enhancement Dominance prevails about 3/4 of the time. However, if Saturn is part of the Clash Aspect, the negative symbolisms are not reversed but strengthened. Offset is only used in CAC's, Event Charts and Historic Charts. It is not used in Natal (Birth) Charts. See Turbulent, Aspect, CAC, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Opposition: A 180° aspect between 2 or more planets which is typically stressful. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology,  Clashes and Captivations in Scientific Astrology.

Orb: The distance in degrees from exactness for any planetary aspect. The allowable orbs for aspects in Scientific Astrology are 3° in the geocentric and heliocentric longitudes, 1.2° in the declinations, and 0.3° in the helio latitudes. See Longitudes, Declinations, Latitude, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Outer Range Progression: Progressions whose peak is so far into the future as to be irrelevant- such as a progression which peaks in 500 years.

P

Paired Planets: Two planets forming a Mid-degree point.

Pairing: Refers to any 2 planets of a  Quad that interact with each other on a primary level. In the case of longitudes, the pairings are always between 2 planets that form one of the two parallel lines. In the declinations, the pairings are between 2 planets that form the 2 midpoints that are parallel to each other. There are always 2 pairings for each Quad.

Parallel: Two or more planets at the same degree North or South in the geocentric declinations or heliocentric latitudes within magi orbs. See Geocentric, Heliocentric, Declinations, Latitude, Orbs, Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Poorhouse Transit: One type of clash transit to a natal financial planet that can create financial peril while applying. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Primary Linked Chart: If married, the primary linked chart is the Wedding Chart. The primary linked chart to a business is the CEO or owner's natal chart.
Primary Magi Quad: The most influential and powerful M/Q in an Occurring Magi Sequence; usually the first one.

Progressed Super Transit: A Progressed Transit that is a Super Transit.

Progressed Transits: Are shown in a CAC between your progressed chart at any given time and your natal chart. The applying linkages and clashes in this CAC also define the time period.  See Progressions.

Progressions: The longest and strongest cycles of influence at any given time. In Scientific Astrology, the chart for Pure Progressions is calculated by advancing a natal chart one day for each year of time. For example: the chart of the sky 35 days after you were born (looked at alone) is read as the chart of your pure progressions for your 35th year. This chart's applying linkages and clashes define the major stellar influences of the time. In Magi Astrology, the chart for Progressed Transits is a CAC between your progressed chart at any given time and your natal chart. The applying linkages and clashes in this CAC also define the time period. Both types of Progressions are stronger than Transits and influence on how you experience your transits. Good progressions sweeten good transits and soften bad transits. Bad progressions weaken good transits somewhat and make bad transits worse.

Pure Progressions are stronger than Progressed Transits. The most stunning progressions are multi-planet pure progressions which form Planetary Geometry.

Progressed Chart: The chart of Pure Progressions for any Natal Chart.

Progressions, Secondary: A traditional astrological term for Progressed Transits.

Projection: Also Midpoint Projection. Refers to the further of the two points which are exactly equidistant in degrees between two planets. The Near Midpoint, the midpoint closest to the two planets, "projects" to create the Far Midpoint. The near and far midpoints are always opposite one another. In Magi Astrology the midpoint forming the strongest aspect to another planet is considered most significant.

Proximity Enhancement: Planetary aspects strengthened by especially tight orbs. With any two planets except Saturn, any aspect tighter than 0.5° greatly increases the power of the aspect. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Pure Enhancements: Aspects formed by conjunction, trine or parallel. Pure enhancements are considered to be stronger and more helpful than other enhancements such as the quincunx, contra-parallel and contra-latitude. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

Pure Progressions: Are calculated by advancing a natal chart one day for each year of time. For example: the chart of the sky 35 days after you were born (looked at alone) is read as the chart of your pure progressions for your 35th year. This chart's applying linkages and clashes define the major stellar influences of the time. See Progressions.

Pyramid: Geometry of at least 3 planets in the Geocentric Declinations, at least 3 planets are each in aspect to one another. This usually occurs when 3 planets are all parallel to each other, but it is possible for it to occur when 1 planet is contra-parallel to 2 planets, which are, in turn, parallel to each other. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology

Pyramid Quad: In the longitudes, this is a  Quad composed of 4 planets, which has a pairing that is a conjunction; this results in the formation of an equilateral triangle with a conjunction of 2 planets at the apex. In the declinations, a  Pyramid Quad has a parallel of 2 planets rather than a conjunction; the midpoint of the other pairing is parallel to both planets that form the parallel.

Q

Quad: A Quad is a Multiple-Planet Aspect comprised of 4 planets. In the longitudes, it exists wherever 4 planets are aligned in such a way that they form a symmetrical pattern such that at least 2 of the 4 sides are parallel to each other. In the declinations, a Quad exists whenever 2 pairs of planets are an equal number of degrees apart; for example, if a pair of planets is 2 degrees apart, and another pair of planets is also 2 degrees apart, the 4 planets will form a Quad. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology

Quadralize: The process of combining to form a Quad. Two pairings quadralize to form a Quad; or a pairing and a composite quadralize to form an Aspected Quad.

Quad/Yod: A 5 planet alignment consisting of a Quad with a 5th planet where this extra planet is located at either the near or far midpoint of the 2 pairings of the Quad; the 5th planet is often the key to the symbolism of the entire alignment.

Quincunx: Two planets which form a 150° aspect. See Planetary Aspects and Geometry in Scientific Astrology.

The term triple is used because there are really 3 Quads in such an alignment, the third being the large Quad formed by the two non-bordering parallel lines. In the declinations, a Triple DQ is an alignment of 6 planets, such that the 6 planets can be reduced to three pairs of planets where the 3 midpoints of the 3 pairs are in parallel to each other.
