Why is Meghan Markle having so much trouble fitting in with the Royal Family?
The world was thrilled when Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, but marrying your Prince Charming isn’t always as easy as it looks. Meghan has found that out after her years in the Royal Family. As Meghan tried to find her stride as a Royal, she managed to offend a number of people who weren’t appreciative of her efforts.
Meghan is a proud Leo, but a deeper dive into Meghan’s birth chart helps us to understand what has driven the Duchess into behavior which didn’t resonate with some of the British public, who usually prefer their icons to be understated and who dislike self-promotion. Meghan’s chart helped make her a star, but didn’t help her fit in with the monarchy.
Though Queen Elizabeth reached out to welcome Meghan in a number of unprecedented ways, Meghan has not been treated kindly by the British press on many occasions. Her chart helps us to understand why she has been unable to live with this.
In her Geocentric chart, this multi-planet wedge reveals her almost-primal need to plan, strategize and control just about everything, and this hasn’t gone down well with royal staffers. We see Pallas in geometry with Saturn and Sedna often in people who have an agenda, good or bad. However the temptation with both Saturn and Sedna is to disregard the needs of others in service of one’s objectives. Of course, in this free-will Universe, we can always make the choice to do good, regardless of the energies in our natal chart. We all have these planets somewhere! It’s how we use them, or allow them to use us, that counts.
In Meghan’s declination chart the first of these 2 parallels – Sappho parallel Vesta, makes her anxiously need approval and validation. The second, a triple parallel of Venus, Pluto and the Saturn-Chiron Heartbreak Midpoint gives her a desire to live life to the utmost, not just within imposed limitations, but this can backfire on her, creating heartbreak.
In her Geo 7 chart we can see her restless nature and resistance to conformity with this triangle geometry of iconoclastic and rebellious Uranus with Meghan’s Sun and Moon. Meghan is a “don’t fence me in” girl.
And – this is not in the video: Meghan’s tendency and temptation to clash with family is shown in this highly significant Fortress, also in Geo 7. Chiron-Mars aspects often indicate a person who stirs the pot when it comes to family matters, and Meghan has a history of family feuds. Combined in powerful symmetrical geometry with Juno (delusions – may not have or understand the facts) Sappho (anxiety) and Ceres (an amplification point among other things) this can make Meghan very prone to family drama. Again, we always have the power to choose!
Meghan’s Helio Longitude chart shows us how much she can worry about success. With her Earth at the apex of a yod with Sappho, Ceres (an amplifier and also a financial planet and the little godfather of business) and Mercury, she is likely to think and over-think, worry and over-worry, about her progress toward her career goals.
Her triple parallel of Earth, Uranus and the Saturn-Chiron Heartbreak Midpoint in the Helio Latitudes shows that her disinterest in conformity and compliance can result in highly public self-sabotage.
Meghan’s chart also shows many indicators that she is an extremely intelligent woman. At one point I said, “Meghan will need to draw on her intelligence to overcome her early missteps and reinvent herself as a Royal who can win the love that she really does deserve from the British people.”
Now in January of 2020, with the Sussex’s announcement that they plan step down as senior royals, create their own financial independence and live part-time outside the UK, it is clear that Meghan, based on her birth chart, needs more room to stretch her wings than is offered by the life of a working Royal. It’s also clear that Harry, who may well blame the press for his mother’s death, is unwilling to allow the press to malign his wife. It is my hope that Meghan, Harry and the Royal Family can work with this going forward in a way that is positive and empowering for all concerned.
