Hi, Actually, Mars sextile Pluto would not be considered a stand-alone sexual linkage, it would only be considered in geometry with other sexual planets. Even with both Neptunes, this would not count as a sexual linkage. So, whether it will burn out is a non-issue.
But you are right, a valid Mars-Pluto sexual linkage will always burn out eventually.
